October Brunch:  there will NOT be a Region 9 brunch for October.  This is due to the fact that I will be attending the IPA U.S. Section’s National Delegates Convention in NYC and the arrival of the group of 60 Irish police cyclists during the week.  So the October brunch is cancelled.  Instead of a brunch there will be a ‘Meet and Greet’ group dinner with the group of Irish police cyclists, IPA members, and of the Irish Consulate.  The ‘Meet and Greet’ dinner will be at the Holding Company Restaurant, Two Embarcadero, 2nd level, (San Francisco) at 7:30pm on Friday, October 10th. We will have our next brunch is on November 2nd, 11:00 am at the Englander Sports Pub at 101 Parrot Street in San Leandro 94577. The pub has ample parking and is a couple of blocks from the San Leandro BART station.  Our guest speaker will be retired FBI supervisor (SF Office) John Mindermann who recently wrote a book about his involvement in the investigation of the Watergate scandal in 1974.  He will have books available for sale and a book signing at the end of the brunch.  RSVP for the November brunch by Oct 28th: ipa.usa.r9@gmail.com See you there!
